BOSIET is an acronym for Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training. 

It is a training programme that was provided to train employees that are new to offshore oil and gas business on different safety training methods and other basic survival training skills such as emergency response training, hazard control and risk assessment.

After under going BOSIET trainees you will be able to use first aid,and also learn about sea survival,swimming,fire fighting, helicopter survival and self rescue also knowledge and experience of the common dangers of working offshore, the emergency response that would be needed in case of such dangers will be impacted on the trainee. 

The BIOSET course is both practical and theoretical,the certification is also valid for 4 years,after which it will be renewed.
