Most of NLNG produced gas are exported to other countries.  
NLNG was incorporated in 1989, and delivering its 1st LNG cargo in October 1999, and subsequently completed a 6th train in 2008. Most NLNG staff live on Bonny Island and work there.

NLNG has two subsidiarie called the Bonny Gas Transport (BGT) Limited, which provides shipping services for NLNG and Nigeria LNG Ship Manning Limited.  

The Bonny Gas Transport (BGT) Limited provides personnel for all of NLNG’s Vessels which as already stated above provide ports in cities around the world with gas.

The current estimated salary earned by NLNG’s entry-level workers is about ₦ 450,000 per month (After Tax)* excluding allowances.

  • 1. Graduate Trainees = ₦ 400,000 Per month *(Excluding Allowances) 
  • 2. Technicians = ₦ 300,000 Per month *(Excluding Allowances) 
  • 3. Tax Accountant = ₦ 500,000 Per month *(Excluding Allowances)

Note
The current minimum wage in Nigeria,applicable from 2011 is ₦18,000 per month,exclusive of all deductions.
