Early Life

Wizkid whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun was born in 1990 in Surulere,Lagos state Nigeria.

The musician has twelve female siblings. He got his early education at Ijebu Ode Grammar School. 

Wizkid tried to bag a degree but he just couldn't,he attended the Lagos State University (LASU) and Lead City University but couldn't graduate.

Wizzy got his first break at Empire Mates Entertainment record label which is owned by Banky W. He signed his first record deal at EME.

He later departed from EME after falling out with his boss Banky W. 

However he left after the expiration of his 5 year contract.

Career 

Wizkid began his singing career when he was 11 years old, in 2001. 

The musician was once called Lil Prinz. 

Wizkid has been successful in his career,he has released three albums namely Superstar in 2011,Ayo in 2014,Sounds from the Other Side in 2017 and a compilation album with his former record label EME named Empire Mates State of Mind back in 2012.
