There are some ways that you can join the Nigerian Navy as an officer,you can attend the Nigerian Defence Academy popularly known as NDA or you can enlist through the direct short service course (DSSC) or the short service course (SSC).

Non commissioned personnels receive training at the Navy Basic Training School (NBTS) ,upon completion they are recruited as Ratings. 

The benefits of joining the Navy is enormous,apart from the fact that you are safe guarding the territorial waters of your country which you should be proud of,there are also rumerations and benefits made available by the federal government. 

To enlist and join the Nigerian Navy all you have to do is to visit their official website and recruitment portal which is www.joinnigeriannavy.com and register. 


Afterwards a recruitment exercise will be conducted,successful candidate will then be invited for an interview where the successful ones will be selected.

After being successfully selected,the newly selected successful candidates will undergo a 6 months training for direct short service course (DSSC) or the short service course (SSC) after which a rank will be assigned to him/her.
