The problem with Nigeria is the inability of the country to control it's porous borders and the exponential growth in population of the country.
This has put immense pressure on the country’s already weak resources and worsened the state of education resources in Nigeria.
Over 45% of Nigeria's population are children under 15 years of age,with the current decline in the quality of education in Nigeria doesn't seem to be making a steady progress.

- 1. The Northern part of Nigeria has the worse cases of young girls out of school,in some cases the proportion of girls to boys in school ranges from 3 boys to 1 girl in some States.
- 2. Many children especially the girls do not attend school because their labour is needed at home,either to help with the chores at home or to bring additional income into the family.
- 3. A lot of Nigerian families are impoverished and cannot afford to send the girl child to school,most often only the boys are sent to school.
