How To Recite The Nigerian National Anthem And Pledge

The national anthem of the federal republic of Nigeria is ''Arise, O compatriots''.

It was subsequently replaced by the previous anthem 'Nigeria,We hail thee'.

''Arise, O Compatriots" was selected to be the best out of many entries in a national contest and was formally adopted in 1978.

It was later put into the musical form by the Nigerian Police Band under the directorship of Benedict E. Odiase.

Till today, some Nigerians or some Nigerians in diaspora still do not know how to recite the national Anthem, hence they cannot properly recite the Nigerian National Anthem and Pledge.

The Nigerian pledge comes immediately after the national anthem has been sung and it is expected that everyone should stand still during this period.
