The Third main land bridge starts from Oworonshoki which is linked to the Apapa-Oshodi express way and Lagos-Ibadan express way, and ends at the Adeniji Adele Interchange on Lagos Island ,it is also connected to Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba through a link midway.

In 2006 it was speculated that the bridge was vibrating which resulted to closing part of the bridge for repairs,it was later re opened fully by 2012.

The Third mainland bridge was built in 1990 by Julius Berger and was commissioned by the then president Ibrahim Babangida.
