Nigerian Jollof Rice Wins Ghana Jellof,Sierra Leone And Cameroon Jellof,Crowned Champion In Washington DC
Finally we now know who is the crown champion of all jellof lol.
Nigeria Jollof has won the first ever Washington DC Jollof Festival that was held on July 2, 2017.
Ms. Atinuke Ogunsalu of Queensway Restaurant & Catering in Maryland, became the winner of the first ever Jollof Hackathon presented by I/O Spaces In Washington DC.
The event was organized by Afropolitan Insights in America. Ms. Ogunsalu brought back the Jellof crown and proved to all that Nigerians can cook Jollof rice more than any other african countries.Her competitors at the event were Cameroon, Ghana, and Sierra Leone.
They were given five minutes to present their dish to the judges who tasted their food and graded the jellof rice's taste, and originality.
Ms. Ogunsalu,the newly crowned champion took home US$1000 from event partner I/O Spaces and an opportunity to become a Chef at Jollof Caviar,a new upscale African Fusion Restaurant that will be opening in Washington DC in 2019.
