  • 6. The University is Officially accredited and recognized by the National Universities Commission, Nigeria.
  • 7. Imo State University (IMSU) offers courses and programs leading to recognized degrees such as bachelor degrees in different areas of study. 
  • 8. The school also has several academic and non-academic facilities.
  • 9. IMSU has a couple of faculties namely: Faculty of Agricultural Sciences,Faculty of Science,Faculty of Business Administration,Faculty of Economics, Banking and Finance,Faculty of Education,Faculty of Environmental Sciences,Faculty of Humanities,Faculty of Law and Faculty of Health Sciences.

  • 15. IMSU once changed its name to Evans Enwerem University,after much deliberation,it was later changed back to Imo State University,Evans Enwerem was a former governor of Imo State.
