IITA was formed over 50 year ago,the organization works with several partners across sub-Saharan Africa, to improve livelihoods, enhance food,nutrition security, increase employment and also preserve natural resource integrity.

 Since it's inception on 24 July 1967,the IITA has now grown and currently has branches in more than 35 countries in Africa.
