 There are about 22 commercial banks in Nigeria,this post contains the current working USSD codes that you can use check your account balance from your mobile phone in Nigeria. 

 You should also note that most banks in Nigeria will require you to check your account balance via the number you registered your bank account with,also you don't necessarily need to have a smart phone that is connected to the internet before you can check your account balance in Nigeria.

  • (a) Dial *901*5# on your Access Bank registered phone number. 
  • (b) Authenticate the request using a 4 digit security code which you can create using the menu option.
  • (c) Your account balance will be sent to you.
  • (d) This service costs only ₦10.
