Career 

The talented musician developed an interest in 
music while he was still studying at the University 
of North Carolina. 

Back then he co-founded the group called 
Lyrically Equipped with his friends Jeffrey and Kurt. 

He got the name 'Poe' after his roommate in 
school mispronounced his name 'Ladipoe' and 
chose to call him 'Poe' instead of 'Ladipoe'. 

After graduation his mother introduced him to 
a guy named Tec from a group called SDC.  

He immediately started writing music with Show 
Dem Camp (SDC). 

Poe was eventually signed to Mavin Records 
in 2014 which is one of the top record 
label in Nigeria. 

Poe was the first rapper to be signed to 
Mavin Records alongside Korede Bello and 
Reekado Banks. 

He was featured in SDC's hit song 
titled "Feel Alright". He released an album 
titled Talk about Poe in 2019
