Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon known professionally 
as Reekado Banks grew up in Lagos Nigeria. 

His former stage name was 'Spicy'.
Reekado Banks was born in Lagos,he has been
in the music industry since 2008. 

Before he became a music star,Reekado Banks 
sold electric blenders in traffic and also worked as
a manual laborer at a construction site,his luck 
changed after his brother submitted his songs to 
Mavin Records online talent search without his consent,Reekado's songs was selected from 
over 5000 entries. 

He signed a record deal with Mavin Records 
in 2014,under the record label he won the 
controversial Next Rated award at The Headies 
2015 where he was declared Rookie of the Year.

In 2016 his debut studio album titled 'Spotlight' 
debuted at number 10 on the Billboard World 
Albums chart. 

He left Mavin Records in 2018 after he 
announced the launch of his own record label
called Banks Music.
