Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua known 
professionally as Sheyi Shay was born in Tottenham,England.

She attended Command High School in 
Maryland,Lagos and eventually went to 
study business management at the University 
of East London.

The talented musician has 3 siblings.

Career

Shey was exposed to music at an early age 
of 6,her mom was a chorister and her sister 
composed songs for Television,Sheyi's brother 
was also a club disc jockey.

Back in 2011,Shay was advised by a
Musician to come back to Nigeria and 
launch her career.

She has been active in the Nigerian music 
industry ever since,however her career began 
to soar after she signed a record deal with a 
record label called 'No Apology'.

Sheyi also wrote and produced three songs 
for the soundtrack to Konami 's video games. 

Sheyi is also ranked among the top richest 
female musicians in Nigeria. She has also 
worked with American International musicians 
such as Beyonce,Justin Timberlake,
Michelle Williams etc. 

She signed a record deal with Island Records 
record labels in 2015.
