Simisola "Simi" Ogunleye known professionally 
as Simi was born in Ojuelegba Surulere Lagos 
Nigeria State Nigeria. 

She attended Stars International College Lagos.
She bagged a degree from Covenant University 
where she studied mass communication.

The talented musician has 3 siblings,she is 
the last born and has three elder brothers,
Simisola's parents separated when she was 
9 years old. 

Career 

Simi has been active in the Nigerian music 
industry since 2008,she started showing 
interest in music when she was 10 years old,
back then she used to be a member of her 
local church's choir. 

She became popular after releasing a track 
titled 'Tiff' that earned her a nomination for 
the Best Alternative Song at The Headies 2015 
Awards.

She is currently affiliated to Studio Brat record 
label which is her own record label after she 
announced her exit from X3M music label that 
signed her in 2014. 

Apart from being one of the talented
 female musician in Nigeria,Simi is also 
good with mixing and mastering albums,
she was credited for mastering her husband's 
Adekunle Gold's debut studio album titled 'Gold'.
