Early Life 

Opeyemi Gbenga Kayode known professionally 
as Pepenazi was born in Lagos State Nigeria. 

He attended Kemeesther Nursery and 
Primary School in Aguda Surulere Lagos State, 

his Secondary School education was at 
Mayflower School in Ikenne,Ogun State 
Nigeria.

He bagged a degree from the Federal University 
of Technology,Akure,Ondo State where he studied estate management. 

Career 

Pepenazi has been active in the Nigerian 
music industry since 2012,he however took a 
break after he enlisted in the Nigerian Army.

He came back to the music scene in October 
2014,after he released two songs titled 
"Born You" and "Low",however the song that 
announced his presence in the Nigerian 
music industry and undoubtedly 
his biggest single was titled 'Illegal' featuring 
YBNL boss Olamide. 

His efforts earned him a nomination at the 
2015 Headies Award for the Rookie of the Year. 
He is currently affiliated to Ecleftic Entertainment 
record labels.
